Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne

‘Yellow Label’ is blended from over 50 wines taken from different Crus (vineyards) and several vintages to produce the house style – all from the three Champagne grape varieties, and is usually around 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier – depending on the wine.

In 2012 Wine spectator rated Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label as 92/100, describing it as “tightly knit, focused by a racy acidity with a streak of minerality, this offers subtle notes of white peach, anise biscuit and kumquat. The refined finish echoes a smoky note.”

This Champagne is a great choice as a reception drink on arrival, for the wedding toast or for matching with food.

To fully appreciate the bubbles, subtleties and aromas of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label, serve chilled in a tulip glass filled around two thirds full at around six degrees centigrade – just a touch warmer than your fridge. Then enjoy!
